Whether you’re looking for a relaxing beach vacation or rave-filled trip, Ibiza has it all! With its hillside panoramic open ocean views and its lively island party life, you won’t regret making the trip out here. A short 1 hour scenic flight from Barcelona will bring you to this gorgeous island. We visited the southeast region of Ibiza and stayed around Playa den Bossa, but around the coast you will find quiet villages and beaches. Our short two day visit for my 21st birthday was filled with boat and beach club parties. We rented an airbnb in the hillside for the elevated water views. If you are more of a hotel guru, there are plenty located on the beach strip. Stay in Platja D’en Bossa to be in close proximity to the beach clubs or visit Eivissa for a more quiet location outside the night life. The airport was about a 30 minute bus ride to our rental. Find more public transport info here. We took the L10 from the airport to the city center and walked the rest of the way. Be wary of all the stairs! Tickets cost 3.50€ or 4€ for one way. The line operates from 0600 to 2400 during the summer. Once arriving at our airbnb, we were ecstatic to see the views from our balcony. All of the stairs were worth it!
After we checked in, we walked down to Playa den Bossa and made our way to the Oceanbeat Ibiza boat party. For 80€ you get 4 hours of all-inclusive partying around the island. There is a DJ, flowing sangria and beer, photographers, champagne showers, and a swim stop. It was the ultimate Ibiza party experience. We had a blast cruising around the coastline dancing and drinking in the sun. Afterwards, Oceanbeat posts pictures from the day on their site that you can access for free. Also, the boat has a waterslide on the back… yes please!
For our night festivities we decided to take on the famous Ushuaia nightclub. David Guetta happened to be performing that night, so we were pretty excited. The nightclub is outside by the pool, surrounded by bars and hundreds of ravers. The night was full of neon lights, flames, and great music. Although the show ended around 11, many fans headed to other local clubs for the after party. We decided to head back to our Airbnb to enjoy the rooftop terrace under the stars. Nothing like watching Game of Thrones while listening to the sounds of the sea!
Sadly, we had to depart Ibiza the next day and head back to Barcelona, but it was definitely worth visiting for the night. A 21st birthday well spent on a gorgeous island..not so bad!
